CAKE フジロック'05出演確定、KING CRIMSON にオファー■ CAKE フジロック'05出演確定 CAKE がオフィシャル・サイトでFUJI ROCK FESTIVAL '05の出演を CAKE TOUR 7/29-31: Japan
Thursday 20th. January, 2005 We would like King Crimson to headline the White Stage (15,000 capacity) on Sunday the 31st July at this year's Fuji Rock Festival 05. Plus, the headline sole shows one in Tokyo and one in Osaka after the festival appearance. FESTIVAL PLACE: SCHEDULE: The fee also includes TV fee which grant us the right to film and record the entire performance of the artist at the festival and film an interview of the Artist at the event and right to broadcast the programs on the national and international television under the following conditions: Use an interview and: If the artist would not be happy about the recording/filming and broadcasting of the performance, we would simply reduce the fee. Also the above condition includes and grant us the right to web cast the artist performance on internet. This will be 'LIVE' streaming from the festival and would have the option of one repeat web cast as "simulated live". The web cast will be streamed, not downloadable and can be either audio/video or just audio, depending on the band's preference. There will be no fee payable for the web cast, it should be looked upon solely as promotion. PLEASE NOTE FOR THE FESTIVAL: 1. Sound Checks would not be possible due to the nature of the event. For those visitors who are unfamiliar with standard contracts, all of this is standard & conventionally uncontroversial. From my reply・ this is one of the scenarios which i've considered fairly recently. this is not quite touring-touring, nor would a world tour of nashville be quite touring-touring either! the no-no for me here is the filming for tv, which is what makes up the numbers for the promoter. I note that every KC video from Japan sucks. This is mainly the result of two factors: 1. The show is being filmed, the effect of which is (almost inevitably) destructive of the actual performance. The offer is for KC to arrive the day before walking onstage in a time zone that bears no relation to theirs & perform to 15,000 audients, without soundcheck, which is filmed and then made widely available by television & streaming to show a wider audience how badly KC might play when no primacy is given to what is needed for a quality performance; and then onto the interviews. Or are the interviews before the show, to divert the thinking function from musical to verbal? While no demands might be made of the artists by the advertising sponsors, what demands might the performers make of them? Like, nothing that adversely affects the health such as cigarettes, beer & colas? This is only one small example of why I am not a good professional musician. Friday 21st. January, 2005 but, more soon! And our agent has returned re: the FujiFestival offer・ what about if I could get rid of the filming and radio aspects ? I'm not saying I could, but if I could manage to do this, would this then be something you might want to consider? 2005.2.06 FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL |
